Luna, Bella and Storm have been waiting over 500 days for adoption at the.Now the charity is showcasing their hunt for a new home as part of its Adoptober month-long rehoming campaign.

Steph McCawley, supporter engagement officer at the RSPCA’s Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch, says, “All three dogs have so much to give and it’s so sad that they are still waiting for new homes. We know that their perfect owners are out there for them and we really hope that they come forward soon. We love having them in our care but, even more, we love to see our dogs go to their forever homes.”

Meet Chesterfield’s most patient dogs…

Luna
Staffordshire bull terrie s extremely affectionate and adores kisses and cuddles. Steph said, “If kisses were a form of currency, then she would be wealthier than any tycoon! Luna is very special.”

One-year-old Luna is an active girl and any potential new owner would need to be likewise, as she has plenty of energy to expend and will need an outlet. More importantly, she needs a home where she will be loved as she herself loves others. Luna would prefer to be the only dog in an adult-only household.

Bella
French bulldog s previous owner gave her up as they were no longer able to care for her. This really affected Bella, and as a result she is extremely worried around new people and finds it hard to trust. But over time she will make someone a wonderful companion and is super friendly and lots of fun. Steph said, “Time, patience and security is all she needs and she will be yours forever.”

Like Luna, Bella would prefer to be the only dog in an adult-only household.

Storm
Energetic crossbreed is described as “everyone’s friend” – and with a big smile! Steph said, “She is daft and bouncy, headstrong and unreserved, and sociable and bold.

“She’s such a sweetheart. Storm loves everybody without preconception or prior judgement, a friend is a friend as far as Storm’s concerned, and she makes sure they know it.”

Any potential owner will need to be active. Storm could potentially live with another dog.

If you’re interested in Luna, Bella or Storm, head to to fill in an online adoption form.
