The actress shared two throwback photos of her ‘Friends’ costar to mark one year since his sudden death
Courteney Cox is remembering her friend and costar Matthew Perry.
On Monday, Oct. 28, Cox, 60, marked the first year anniversary of Perry’s death by sharing two throwback pictures with the late actor, who she starred alongside in the sitcom Friends.
In the first snap, Perry smiled at Cox on what appeared to be a red carpet.
The following photo then featured a shot of Perry and Cox posing alongside their fellow Friends cast members Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow.
“Missing you today and always ❤️@matthewperryfoundation,” Cox’s caption read.
The Matthew Perry Foundation was founded by Perry’s family with the aim of helping others who are struggling with addiction.
Perry died age 54 at his Los Angeles-area home on Oct. 28, 2023, in an apparent drowning, that was later revealed to be influenced by the acute effects of ketamine, according to an autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE two months later.
Hw was laid to rest on Nov. 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A. in a private service attended by his costars.
Aniston, 55 — who played the role of Rachel Green alongside Cox’s Monica Geller and Perry’s Chandler Bing — also paid tribute on the year anniversary of her friend’s passing. In an Instagram post, Aniston shared a black-and-white shot of the former costars from their early days on Friends and a photo of Perry kissing her forehead during a scene on the show.
She then shared a snap of the entire Friends cast hugging each other before the final episode taping, before concluding with a photo of Perry laughing.
“1 year ❤️🩹🕊️@matthewperryfoundation,” Aniston’s caption read.
